According to the standards set for organic milk, I doubt any of the companies, or at least the majority of them can work to meet them. Organic milk means that the milk comes from cows that are reared without any growth hormones that are artificially made. And that they are grass-fed, no grains. And not any grass. The grass has to be pesticides free. Meaning that the cows have to have access to pastures.

For a product to be called organic, it has to be produced according to a number of rules that define a minimum standard. Organic cows must eat a natural, grass-based 100% organic diet, and not pushed beyond their natural limits.

Milk is among the most highly regulated and safest foods available. Across the world, Milk is considered a completely nutritious food, and is especially recommended for children, adolescents and pregnant and lactating women.

Today, organic milk is stared as a healthier alternative to conventional milk. According to the United States Department of Agriculture, organic milk is defined as milk from cows that have been exclusively fed organic feed, have not been treated with synthetic hormones, are not given certain medications to treat sickness, and are held in pens with adequate space.

The reason organic milk is healthier comes down to its ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acids, which is lower than in regular milk. A diet containing too many omega-6 fatty acids and not enough omega-3s has been linked to heart disease, as well as cancer, inflammation and autoimmune diseases. That’s because your gut converts omega-6s to arachidonic acid, which can cause inflammation. But the anti-inflammatory powers of omega-3s help to counterbalance that reaction, which is why keeping that ratio low is so important.
